Barre Basics

This class takes you through the basics of Barre including Demi Plie, Demi Pointe, 1st and 2nd positions of the legs and feet, retiré, Arabesque and Attitude. The class focuses on alignment and mainly works the legs, butt and core! Please rest if needed and then rejoin the exercise. This class is a great intro to Barre.

Equipment: A Pilates ball and a barre (or a cushion and the back of a chair will work fine)

Sculpting the Silhouette

This Barre class focuses on sculpting the silhouette with lots of oblique, hips and outer thigh work. The pace at the start is steady so don’t be fooled! We will be working with Grands Battement and Attitude with a raised heel for extra burn! If you prefer you can keep the heels in contact with the floor.

Equipment: You will need a small ball or cushion and a barre or the back of a chair.
