"A dancer must defy many things...gravity is only one of them."

Classical Ballet is the basis for all types of dance. It develops posture, strength, body placement and correct dance technique. Savvy Studios follows the IDTA exam syllabus which is internationally recognised for its high standards. However, pupils do not need to take exams to attend the classes.

Contemporary Modern Jazz

"Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion."

Contemporary Modern Jazz is without a doubt - fun! Classes are structured to begin to prepare the physical strength and flexibility required to demonstrate emotion through interpretation of any musical genre.

"Dance is the hidden language of the soul of the body."

Lyrical dance is a style that combines ballet and jazz dancing techniques. It is performed to music with lyrics so that it inspires expression of strong emotions the choreographer feels from the lyrics of the song. This form of dance focuses on the expressive nature of the performance and is therefore suitable for all levels and abilities.

"It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer."

If you are looking for a dance class that is about developing a super high energy and a sassy style, Commercial is definitely for you. This is a cutting edge dance style for Pop Artists in arena tours, awards ceremonies and in music videos.

"Do it big, do it right and do it with style." - Fred Astaire

Tap dance is perfect for both adults and children. It is an exciting style of dance where the dancer becomes a percussive musician with the use of specially designed tap shoes. The sound is made by shoes that have a metal “tap” on the heel and toe. Tap dance is a rhythmical and enjoyable way to keep fit!

"Greatness isn't's made!"

Acro is a challenging and exciting dance style where dancers blend musicality, emotional expression with acrobatic movements in a dance context. It is known by various other names including acrobatic dance and gymnastic dance, though it is most commonly referred to simply as Acro by dancers and dance professionals.

Theatre Craft

"Put music to our troubles and we'll dance them away..."

Theatre Craft is a fun and exciting dance style, primarily centred around theatrical performances and shows such as those seen in London’s West End. It involves a strong focus on dance technique as well as performing and it also embraces the dancer’s ability to interpret the music and tell a story on stage. It can be one of the most fun genres of dance to study!
