At Savvy Studios, our shows are about so much more than what happens on stage.

They are about confidence, courage, creativity, friendship and giving every student the opportunity to be part of something they will remember for years to come.

Through preparing for a show, our students learn to work as a team, support one another, persevere when things feel difficult and have the courage to step outside their comfort zone. They develop resilience, responsibility and belief in themselves, qualities that prepare them not simply for the stage but for life.

These are not just performance skills. They are life skills.

We believe these opportunities should be as inclusive and accessible as possible. Unlike many dance schools, we do not charge our students a fee to take part in our shows. We never want cost to be the reason a young person misses out on performing alongside their friends and experiencing the extraordinary feeling of stepping onto a stage.

Creating large-scale productions comes with significant costs, from hiring the Hall for Cornwall to costumes, scenery, props, staging and technical production.

Asking for donations is not something that comes naturally to us and we do not do it lightly. However, with costs continuing to rise, maintaining our commitment to free show participation is becoming increasingly challenging.

Rather than introducing a compulsory participation fee, we are asking those within our wider Savvy community who are able and would like to help to consider making a voluntary contribution to our Show & Costume Fund.

There is absolutely no expectation or obligation to donate. Every contribution, however large or small, helps us continue creating ambitious, inclusive opportunities where every student can feel they belong.

A costume. A moment. A memory. A chance to shine.
